Programs for Mt. Kenya Conservation Forum are driven by the following objectives:

 

1. To promote the protection and conservation of nature for the benefit of the current and future generations

2. To promote sustainable use of the natural resources of the area

​

3. To promote the enjoyment of conservation areas and the appreciation of their natural beauty by the public in an informed and understanding manner;

4. To promote public participation in protection and conservation of the environment upon which their lives depend.

5. To advance public conservation education.

6. To promote and undertake research into issues affecting the conservation and enjoyment of nature and to disseminate research findings to the public and other stakeholders

7. Seek to foster the economic and social well being of local communities
